Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Performance Management focuses on continuous improvement of systems and processes, with special emphasis on client needs against standards and corrective action is taken where necessary.
Staff are aware of the quality management and improvement programmes and are competent to participate in quality improvement.
Meetings are utilized as quality improvement opportunities.
Accreditation standards are met and maintained.
All relevant statutory requirements are adhered to.
Best practices are shared to the benefit of the group.
Policies and procedures are developed, maintained, implemented and compliance monitored.
Financial controls are maintained within unit as delegated.
Give input for preparation of annual budget as delegated.
Request for external training/conferences is authorized by the Nursing Director and Hospital Director.
Training expense is within allocated budget and is authorized.
Cheques are requested in line with financial procedures.
Training expense reflects commitment to the Training Needs Plan.
All new nursing practitioners are orientated according to Mediclinic Middle Easts policy.
Identified clinical learning needs of individual nursing staff acted on and facilitate provision of same.
Unit based academic tutorials promoted.
Nursing education modules and refresher courses formulated and facilitated.
General Health Education supported and promoted by liaising and participating with other health care professionals in the UAE.
Competency certificates issued.
Participate in nursing Quality Assurance Committee.
Records of tutorial attendance/evaluation documented and maintained.
Individual educational needs and attainments documented and maintained.
Educational activities plan provided to Nursing Director monthly/annually.
Input given to compile monthly report.

Requirements

Registered as Registered Nurse / Midwife according to the UAE requirements.
Licensed in your Country of origin (as applicable).
Nursing Education qualification is highly recommended.
At least 5 8 years clinical nursing experience with 2 years experience in field of education.

Provides staff development expertise as an educator, consultant, facilitator, change agent and researcher. Supports the development of the bedside nurse, and fosters empowerment through knowledge to achieve excellence through the delivery of evidenced based nursing practice. This occurs through the facilitation of the educational process. Conducts needs assessments using a variety of strategic tools and assists learners in the assessment of needs and identification of outcomes. Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs.
