Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To assist and build upon Coastal Numerical Modeling capabilities within the Bahrain office, based on the successful winning of modeling work.

The ideal candidate should be able to undertake independently hydraulic modeling on coastal area for the local marine design team on a number of projects and framework set up with Hydrographic Survey Department. Candidate will also be required to be flexible and engage in engineering design and assistant project managers as and when required. The candidate should have experience in the following coastal processes: wave generation and propagation in coastal areas and in harbors, water level variation in response to forcing's of various nature (hydrodynamics), dispersion modeling associated with conservative or decaying substances.

Requirements

MIKE by DHI or MIKE21, SLOPEW, STAADPRo

MEng, MSc.

Knowledge of the MIKE 21 software suite is essential and the candidate should be fluent with the following MIKE21 modules as a minimum : Spectral Wave, Hydrodynamics (Flexible Mesh), Advert-Dispersion and Business. Experience with coastal processes such as sand transportation and shorelines evolutions is a plus. Knowledge of MIKE21 ST,MT and LITPACK would be required in this case.
