Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

ROLE
Interface with management and scientists on the Company’s projects and programs. The position supports a multi-disciplinary team implementing, inter alia, computerized air emission control software. Solid background knowledge in combustion engineering is essential, knowledge of DCS-type software programming and interfacing required, and air emissions control and measurement technologies desirable. Experience with international projects is required. Experience within the GCC is advantageous.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Implement engineering design for combustion projects.
• Maintain, organize and update engineering project materials and procedures.
• Accomplish tasks within budget and on schedule.
• Program and interface with existing plant DCS programs.
• Assist as required with stack testing for emission control.
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Develop effective logistical and organizational procedures to assist the engineering operations in the projects in the GCC environment, including the utility and petroleum industries.

LOCATION
The project office is based in Dubai, UAE and the position may require some travel to the GCC and other international locations. This is an excellent opportunity for career development and provides an opportunity to participate in exciting and important projects.

Requirements

Level 1: minimum 5 years experience
Level 3: minimum 10 years experience

QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor of Science degree in chemical and/or mechanical engineering is required. A Master of Science degree and pursuit of professional license is preferred. Experience level is given above, preferably in the process industries (preferably Utilities, Boiler operation, GT and other processes where the fuels are burnt to provide energy to the process unit). Knowledge in the following areas:
1) Combustion
2) Air pollution control technologies
3) Computer applications
4) CEMS and related instrumentation
5) Process modeling
6) Regulatory issues
7) Process control

Demonstrated organizational skills for coordinating project review activities and technical writing skills for report contributions are required. Ability to speak Arabic is a significant benefit. Experience in the GCC is also a significant benefit.
