Employment: Full Time

Commercial Accountant - Dubai - AED 18,000- 19,000 + Benefits

My client is looking for a Commercially oriented Accountant who is required to ensure the integrity of the entity’s accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and analyzing transactions for the region.

Specific Outcomes / Accountability:
• Ensure day to day smooth, accurate and timely operation of the Accounting function.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Facilitate and complete monthly close procedure.
• Assist in ensuring the existence of internal controls for the region.
• Reporting, Business planning and Analysis
• Accurate & timely preparation of budgets and business plan.
• Development & implementation of all Finance policies and procedures.
• Assist in the co-ordination and preparation of strategic plans, forecasts, and the annual budgeting cycle; creating operating budgets, development of business financial models and consolidation.
• Timely preparation of periodic forecasts for the business.
• Day to day booking of transactions and expense administration and tracking for local group ie total local accounting responsibilities.
• Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving intercompany discrepancies as applicable.
• Prepare monthly financial reports / analyses and Finance Dashboard, and variance analysis, monthly operating expenses variance etc.
• Responsible for maintenance and improvements in the MIS reporting process, leveraging automation and enabling accurate and faster in depth data analysis.
• Coordinate local Internal and External Audit follow ups and annual compliance sign-off for the site.
• Intercompany account reconciliation
• Payments to employees and suppliers while monitoring other expenditures and report major variances as applicable.

Requirements

Ideally the client is looking for Westerns or Arabic speaking candidates.

• Previous knowledge of ERP implementation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages: proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• 2-3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical /FMCG.
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal direction from superior to accomplish objectives.
