The RoleThe RoleYour job responsibilities would include the following: • Financial Accounting : Reviewing the financial accounts of the SBU in order to ensure and present a true and fair state of the financial status of the company • MIS and Reporting : Preparing, analysing and presenting the financial and operating performance of the company periodically for review by all levels of management • Commercial Support : Analysing and actively participating in negotiations with service providers on costs viz.; freight, insurance, customs duty, clearing and transportation. Continuously monitoring and reviewing the actual expenses performance against budgets and implement reviews to correct deviations, if any • Budget & Reviews : Initiating and consolidating in co-ordination with the SBU Head and various divisional managers the budgeting exercise to set business goals and objectives. Periodically review to ensure the business achievement is in line with the business goals • Controls & Policies : Identifying areas of risk in conjunction with the central finance team and assisting in the development of business supportive processes thereby reducing loss and improve the business efficiencies • Controllable Expenses : Identifying expense areas that could be controlled by the business and formulate an action plan in conjunction with the divisions & finance team to control these expenses resulting in increased profitability of the business. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo apply for this position, you should meet the following requirements: • A professional Accounting degree such as CA / CIMA / ICWA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent • Experience in the relevant industry (Electronics distribution/ Engineering/ Technology/ Retail) • Excellent analytical, decision making skills, planning and organising skills. • Knowledge of accounting software package, preferably ERP such as SAP will be an advantage. |
