Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a developer based in Dubai. They are looking for Property/ Real Estate Lawyer to join their expanding team to cover real estate development in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi.

The responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Contract drafting and negotiation with third parties, typically involving engagement letters, contracts, NDAs, etc, but also occasionally in the context of more complex matters such as LOIs, RFP, JVAs and ancillary for potential real estate projects;
- Oversight of external counsel as necessary; and
- Drafting a wide range of agreements (e.g., Sale and Purchase Agreements);
- Structuring homeowner associations and drafting all required documents;
- Providing legal opinions (formal or informal) on a wide range of property, development and some construction matters

Requirements

- Strong drafting skills are a must.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent English is an absolute minimum, Arabic is a strong plus.
- Positive and proactive personality. Able to get on well with others in a fast paced Multi cultural environment
- The candidate will ideally be currently in a quality UAE Legal firm and be looking to make their first in-house move
- The candidate must have at least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience in corporate / commercial work.
- Strong academic background from a leading university or law school.
