Commercial Department Manager - Marks & Spencer, Villagio Qatar

Marks & Spencer, part of Al Futtaim Retail, is a globally recognised retail brand offering stylish, high quality, great value clothing and home products as well as outstanding foods.

With 14 Stores currently located across the GCC including locations in the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar there is further growth planned with an additional four stores to open in 2012 to further strengthen this exciting brand within the Middle East market.

We are seeking a Department Managers for our Marks & Spencer store, located in Villagio mall in Doha, Qatar. As a Commercial Department Manager, you will be responsible for managing a department in the store.

Key tasks will include the following:

* Providing a quality and service oriented customer experience to all customers
* Driving and generating sales through your team and department
* Ensuring space is effectively managed and footage is fully maximised
* Developing, coaching and supervising your team
* Overall management and placement of stock and making sure that visual guidelines are being adhered to at all times

The role will also require you to be flexible with your days and shift times to meet the opening hours and 7 day nature of retail.

Requirements

Your background will be in retail and include the management and supervision of staff with experience driving results through others.
Essential qualities you will need to demonstrate will be:

* Commercial awareness
* Ability to coach and develop high performing teams
* Financial understanding to drive sales and manage costs in your department
* Effective decision making ability
