Commercial Development Manager - Aspire LOGISTICS

• Identifies and develops business opportunities for Aspire LOGISTICS. Prepares and proposes the Business Development Strategy (developing new services, defining tariff structures, acquiring new clients and enhancing existing client relationships)
• Assists in the development of the yearly commercial/business development plan.
• Develops and delivers the business development strategy through carrying out research, formulating market analysis and producing accurate business reports.
• Determines new opportunity by analyzing business needs.
• Assists Venues and Operations Directorates in developing and implementing strategies for new products and services.
• Identifies means to increase Aspire LOGISTICS involvement with existing clients.
• Serves as a lead facilitator both internally and externally for project proposals.
• Screens potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, financials, available options, and recommending course of action.
• Responding to tenders and information requests in a timely manner.
• Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities.
• Build referral and lead generation network.
• Identifies ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements.
• Keeping abreast of developments in Aspire LOGISTICS business lines
• Forecast short and long-range market potential for Aspire LOGISTICS business lines.
• Communicate to AZF’s Marketing Department the yearly marketing strategy pertaining to Aspire LOGISTICS”
• Coordinate with AZF’s Marketing Department the communication and promotion of business development efforts.
• Assist AZF’s Business Development Advisor in preparing the yearly commercial/business development plan.
• Coordinate with AZF’s Business Development Advisor client engagements efforts.
• Assume any Other Responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

• MBA or Master’s degree in Business Management/Marketing or equivalent discipline
• 12 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
• A thorough understanding of clients marketing objectives including their Return On Investment (ROI) objectives
• A good understanding of Facility Management and Venues/Event Management businesses would be distinct advantage
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills
• Negotiation and sales skills
• Problem solving skills
• Strong client management skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• A pro-active self-starter who can operate both individual and as part of a team
• Outstanding need analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills
• Capable of working independently, and having responsibilities as an individual

Aspire LOGISTICS was established by Emiri Decree number 1 for the year 2008 as the strategic business unit of Aspire Zone Foundation responsible for supporting the activities of Aspire Zone by:

• Building, operating and managing high quality international standard sport facilities • Providing support for staging of sport events and activities • Providing shared services support for the precinct’s business partners – ASPIRE Academy and ASPETAR

Aspire LOGISTICS is comprised of three Directorates: Venues, Operations and Technical and Corporate Services.
