Commercial Development Manager for Renewable Energy

Successful candidates will have experience and worked on multi-million dollar contracts.

- Initiate guidelines, coordinates activities and provides technical expertise to assure the proper and timely development and or maintenance and administration of contracts, maintaining conformity to the accepted corporate contracting policies and procedures, and meeting the Client/Consultant for technical & operational requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Direct and participate in the development of engineering and financial studies that establish feasibilities for contract services and evaluation for alternatives that may be technical, financial and or procedural.
- Coordinate and or participate in the development of a professional level of analyses of the scope of work for various contract services, including the company risk or exposure.
- Develop professional level presentations to The Executive Management, and makes presentations or participates in the presentations to the Review Committee.
- Review Commercial Agreements by highlighting areas of concerns, ensuring the Agreements are fit for purpose, and evaluating the possible associated risks in the Agreements. Critically examine the commercial bid following the technical evaluations and carry out the Commercial Evaluations and propose the best option.

Accountabilities:
- To conduct Contracts compliance monitoring by reviewing pre and post award activities for adherence to Contracts Policies & Procedures, and testing Agreements to ensure deliverables were met and Client received Value for Money in contracts as per the Agreement.
- Evaluate the appropriateness of contractual claims by Contractors in conjunction with the End User and propose advice to the Commercial Adviser.
- To be the focal point for close out of Contracts at their expiration. Finally, to conduct Contractors pre-qualifications prior to formal registration to ensure their adequacy
- Additionally to support the Head of Contracts Compliance in vetting, negotiating and producing business & Tier Agreements as required.

Requirements

- Should have a Bachelor;s degree in Engineering, Law or a Business discipline and at least 10 years of experience as a contract advisor within the Power Generation Industry preferably Renewable.
- 7-12 Years relevant experience and certified by National Contract Management Association or any equivalent.
