An opportunity with a leading multinational in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Reporting to the General Manager - Gulf & Levant, this role will lead the business across Growth Markets (Iraq, Yemen, Iran and Syria) with responsibility over Levant as well. The core purpose is to achieve the revenue targets in the assigned territory/portfolio and manage the P&L for Iraq, Yemen & Strategic Alliances. Responsible for recruitment, training, development and the management of performance. Ensure that the team is equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform and execute effectively. Responsible for cross functional alignment with commercial teams, Enabling and platform functions for Territory priorities – mobilize the needed resources to ensure achievement of objectives.

Requirements

- A Bachelor's degree. Business Management degree is preferable
- Minimum 10 years of successful commercial experience including 5 years of Sales & people management experience
- Proficient in written and spoken English, Arabic is an advantage
- Thorough knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry and Healthcare environment
- Understanding of the Iraq, Iran, Syria and Yemen markets with the complexities involved
- Experience in setting up distribution models and structures, negotiating and rationalisation of distribution channel
- Ability to develop strategic direction for the market and the product portfolio
- Ability to develop creative solutions for the implementation of market plans
- Ability to identify and capture sales opportunities
- Demonstrated capability of Organizational skills, cross functional exposure and operating in matrix management
- Demonstrated capabilities and understanding of retail trade channel
- Comprehensive knowledge of the sales process, sales performance indicators and core marketing principles. Performance Management capability
- Must be able to demonstrate competence in influencing a broad range of stakeholders through credible, clear and logical communication
- Strong interpersonal skills with an understanding of people management – motivation, coaching and development
- Commercially astute with strong business acumen
- Strong problem solving and process management skills
- Computer literate including manipulating Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, Electronic Customer Management Systems.
