A leading steel company is looking for a Commercial Director, based Egypt, to manage their expanding operations. It is a fantastic opportunity with a leading player in the market.

Commercial Director Responsibilities:

• Lead the startup of the company's business by building the commercial strategy, policies, processes and team.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the marketing strategy through leadership of the Marketing Department.
• Provide professional advice and support across the business on marketing strategy and implementation issues.
• Direct the research and assessment of current and potential future markets on an ongoing basis.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of individual brand strategies.
• Ensure the product portfolio is balanced.
• Work to develop and execute the portfolio strategic plan to optimize cash flow
• Provides the necessary forecast and demand information to sales, marketing and export sales to enable them to develop programs to deliver business
• Identify critical market trends and assess their potential impact on the Group business.
• Benchmarking of performance using competitive analysis and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage the cross-functional New Product Development (NPD) Committee.
• Direct the research and assessment of current and potential competitor activity.
• Prepare and manage annual department budgets to ensure effective cost management.
• Handled contract negotiations and assisted the company in closing big deals.
• Devise and implement criteria for the assessment of export market potential.
• Develop and implement export processes and systems.
• Identify and develop new export business prospects.
• Manage and control the complete export sales cycle, from order placement through to delivery, in order to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with the marketing, production and finance departments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant trade, export and financial regulations, both statutory and ES internal.

Commercial Director requirements:
• Bachelors’ Degree qualified
• Fluent English and Arabic speaking
• Experience working in heavy industry
• Strategic management experience
