Commercial Director - UAE National
AED 60,000 - 70,000 per month

Our client, a well-known events and exhibition institution in Dubai is looking for a Commercial Director to develop and implement strategies for all areas of the company's exhibition and non-exhibition business to maximize the company's profitability.
Responsibilities:
* Manage sales and marketing and execution of events & sponsorships
* Promote the company's facilities to potential clients both regionally and internationally
* Identify new clients and analyse real sales opportunities
* Meet with international and regional organisers to discuss opportunities for new events
* Review and propose potential events partnership
* Manage budget and ensure achievement of revenue targets
* Review and approve all space contracts and make sure that all charges are correct
* Check the credit offered to clients as per the approved credit control plan
* Establish operational procedures to insure proper collection of funds
* Check and control all costs charged to Venues
* Prepare the yearly budget for the department
* Co-ordinate with internal, external and government auditor as and when required
* Build relationships with potential strategic event partners and sponsors
* Maintain and develop relationships with government departments
* Gain a clear understanding of clients requirements
* Negotiate tenancy contracts and profiles according to company parameters
* Monitor and report on competing venues marketing and promotional activity, pricing strategies and policies
Requirements
* University Degree in commerce and a minimum of 15 years' experience in hospitality or event management out of which 10 years should be in a managerial position
* Market knowledge
* Excellent verbal and written communications (Arabic and English)
* People management
* Commercial awareness
