Job description / Role
- Coordinates shipper and consignee problems
- Conducts sales calls, responds to queries, and develops thorough project proposals, and bids including cost and benefit calculations
- Maintains an effective sales schedule to cover and maintain a market presence, and records, data, and reports pertinent to sales activity
- Coordinates with Terminal Managers, Operations Managers, and equal level resources on the operations level on commercial and sales issues.
- Conducts market research and segmentation
- Gathers local market intelligence, and compiles and analyzes the data to draw conclusions, trends and shares this information with relevant stakeholders.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Arabic national, with a minimum of 7 years work experience within a Commercial department, preferably within the Shipping / Freight / Logistics / Container Terminal / Port operations industry.
Must have handled sales tasks, including conducting initial sales pitch, handling commercial documentation, market research and assisting in developing the client base.
