Employment: Full Time

Company:
Our client is one of the leading asset management and construction consultancies, operating from 25 offices across the world and established for more than 100 years.
They are currently looking for a Commercial Manager to work in Litigation & Arbitration Support in their Contract Advisory Department based in Dubai

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Chartered MRICS or equivalent essential, LLM or LLB preferable
• Preparation of detailed commercial and technical reports to assist Legal Teams in arbitral or litigation cases
• Good working knowledge and understanding of tender documentation and tender analysis protocols
• Good working knowledge of FIDIC (and other forms of contract)
• Ability to forensically review contracts and interpret contractual issues and identify possible angles of attack/defence
• Prior experience of providing both oral and written evidence to the Courts/Arbitral panels (desired but not essential)
• Good working knowledge of change management, provision of estimates and overall budget control
• Post contract administration services of consultants and contractors
• Good working knowledge of variations, claims, quantum assessments and provision of contractual advice
• Good working knowledge of consultants and contractor agreements
• Good working knowledge of disputes and notices procedures
• Proven ability to prepare reports as required by the client and other stakeholders
• Good working knowledge of Quality control; compliance with policies and procedures

Requirements

Qualification & Experience:
• Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Master Degree in Construction Law (or equivalent or working towards)
• Prior experience of claims management
• LLM or LLB is preferred but not essential
• Minimum 12 years of experience
