Job description / Role
As a Commercial Manager on a multi billion building and infrastructure project in Qatar, you will be responsible for the Cost Management of the project, maximising on savings and minimising risk, using your strong financial and commercial management skills.
THE ROLE
- Provides authoritative and accurate professional advice on complex commercial matters
- Support the Commercial Lead in mentoring, supporting and leading junior members of the team where appropriate
- Liaise with the client, and attend client meetings
- Develop risk minimising strategies
- Drive innovation and best value solutions on the project
- Manage and lead commercial activities, create and plans and resource
- Prepare reports and documents to a high standard for the Commercial Lead and clients
- Ensure company standards and compliance is followed
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying / MRICS or equivalent
- Experience in a similar role on mixed use mega projects - infrastructure and buildings CM an advantage
- Pre and post contract experience
- Excellent written and spoken English with an ability to produce comprehensive reports and build positive business relationships with the client and colleagues
- Previous experience in the Middle East an advantage, but not essential
