Commercial Manager - Facades

Our client is one of the leading International aluminium facade contractors whose main area of activity is the design, production and installation of architectural envelopes for global high-rise projects

Due to expansion our client is currently looking for an experienced Commercial Manager who will be reporting to the MD of their Middle East division

The ideal candidate will have both technical and practical experience in the management of large scale facade project in a Senior Managers position.

The role will involve full management of multi million dollar projects in the region and the candidate MUST have proven experience in the design, procurement, execution, and commercial management of large scale facade projects as a Project Manager
- Manage all costs relating to projects. From the initial calculations to the final figures, surveyor seeks to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality. Prepare, maintain and follow up invoices and payments in co-ordination with Commercial and Finance Department.
- Review documents passed on by Commercial Department.
- Establish quantities or requirements of prospective contracts in coordination with Commercial Department.
- Assist Commercial department in establishing clients requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.
- Affirm contract documents including bills of quantities.
- Prepare and submit the Monthly Payment application to Clients.
- Prepare Invoices for each Payment Application and forward the same to Finance Department.
- Prepare, maintain and submit the Project Payment record to Clients.
- Follow up with Clients with respect to collection of the Monthly Payment Certificates and respective Actual Payments.
- Liaise with Design and Project Departments regarding variations and additional works.
- Prepare and maintain Contract Variation Schedule.
- Maintain the Valuation & Variations file for each contract.
- Prepare and maintain monthly Payment Application/ Invoicing schedule for assigned Contracts.
- Prepare, submit and confirm Final Accounts for assigned Contracts.
- Perform any other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

- A degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 4 yrs. of experience in Facade and Curtain Wall Industry.
- Knowledge of required computer applications including Auto Cad.
- Ability to interact with related parties, understand the mission of the organization and how to make contribution, adapt behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles, effectively deal with pressure and ambiguity and see details in words, numbers and design plans quickly and accurately.
- Able to converse in written and spoken English.
