Employment: Full Time

Our client, a leading global manufacturing company is currently recruiting a Commercial Manager (Finance) AMEA.

This role supports the VP Sales & Marketing and Sales Directors in developing strategies and pricing proposals and implementing commercial direction. It also manages the commercial implications of opportunities in the AMEA region through databases on margins, cost, duty, import tariffs, freight and logistics. Considerable cross-functional interaction with all areas of the business is required to ensure all aspects are considered in the development of commercial proposals and to support strategic decision making.

KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Pricing & Negotiations
- Prepare pricing strategies and quotes in conjunction with Sales VP and Sales Directors/Managers for contracts, budget and forecasts
- Support the pricing strategy for our global and local customers
- Financial forecasting pricing including checking local plant pricing vs. departments
- Provide negotiation support for Sales VP and Directors as necessary

Metal hedging
- Manage commercial element & administration of hedging process for Key Account customers
- Liaise with Key Account customers with respect to pricing based on metal hedging

Contract database
- Development and maintenance
- Electronic RCA approval process
- Storage of all contracts for audit purposes

New Business Development
- Build and maintain database on freight, tax and duty implications by customer location, per new and existing market
- Assist in formulation of presentation packs for customer meetings

Down-gauging
- Maintain the down-gauge database
- Calculation of savings

Reporting
- Standard up-charge document maintenance
- Tracking of NPD sales (including profitability and annual update)

Other projects as required.

Requirements

- Finance or Accounting Degree
- Worked in a commercial/sales environment
- Experience with emerging markets is desirable
- Experience working in a matrix environment & with multi-functional teams
- Ability to deliver complex statistical data in a timely manner
- Demonstrate strategic understanding through previous experience and via examples
- Proven understanding of Sales Management and Finance
- Inquisitive nature to explore business opportunities in a proactive manner
- Strong numeracy
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Access skills
- Works to deadlines and ability summarize key themes and proactively highlight issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects running concurrently across the region
- High degree of professionalism, integrity and the character to defend position
- Confident, proactive, excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Flexible and pragmatic approach
