Commercial Manager X2- WESTERN NATIONAL
Commercial Manager X1 - Muslim (Holy Haram Projects in Mecca)

Our client has requirements for 3 MEP commercial managers. Two to join their major project in Jeddah and another to join their projects in Mecca.

Reporting to: Regional General Manager & Company Directors.

Main Interfaces: Company Directors, GM, Operations Manager, Designers, PM's and Project QS's.

Role Purpose:
To provide commercial, contractual, insurance and financial management services (including quantity surveying) to the company and to ensure project / company profit objectives and targets are met whilst cash is managed to maximize cash and working capital performance.

Objectives:
- To maximise the financial effectiveness and profitability of the company.
- To identify and facilitate growth within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provision of strategic and general commercial advice and guidance to the project delivery teams to ensure company polices and commercial targets are being achieved.
- Negotiating with clients representatives, sub-contractors and other consultants.
- Advise on contractual issues and the implications of intended courses of action.
- Provide contractual and commercial support to estimating/proposals and procurement.
- Ensure that contract documents are properly executed prior to project commencement.
- Advise on commercial risks within the projects.
- Maintain, evolve the necessary policies and procedures to effectively manage commercial and contractual risk.
- Preparation of monthly contract review reports.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts information.
- Identifying and communicating development and training needs of staff.
- Providing staff with support and guidance on their projects when required.
- Identify change and implement change control process and agreement.
- Regular review and direction of commercial performance of projects within region to improve financial certainty and maximize commercial success of both projects and region.
- Provide high quality management information to the company management.
- Take lead commercial roles across the company in co conjunction with other site based surveyors.
- To actively take part with the identifying and winning of future work.
- Provide assistance to regional management in delivering increased margins.
- Conduct start-up and validation meetings with the project team.
- Ensure all projects have clear and deliverable commercial strategies.
- Preparation of a commercial report for the region.
- Preparation of progress valuations through to final account and achieving a successful commercial outcome.
- Ensuring Prompt financial close-out of contracts.
- Preparations of project and regional commercial forecasts.
- Subcontractor Management including tendering, tender analyses, negotiation, formulation and execution of subcontracts documents, final accounts etc.
- Preparation and formulation of contractual claims and extensions of time claims and negotiating same to a successful outcome.
- Control and Manage a surveying team, either project and/or regional.
- Maintaining records of the companies commercial performance, monitoring/enforcing improvement targets and taking appropriate actions as required to ensure targets and Improvements are meet and continuous improvements are being made.
- Ensuring procedures and methodology meet statutory requirements and company objectives.

Requirements

Our Saudi based client is a busy MEP Contractor (BUILDING SERVICES) with a growing project portfolio. They have a requirement for an experienced Commercial Manager from a Contractor based MEP background. You will have excellent commercial & contractual knowledge and will have 15 years MEP Contractor experience.

You will be a Western passport holder, 35 to 50 years old and must have 10 years experience in working for MEP Contractors - Building Services. Client has specified no PQSs or main contractors.

This is a building services MEP contractor, not heavy industrial / or oil & gas.

High rise - Commercial - Residential - Retail - medical Projects.

Basic salary : negotiable - company accommodation & transport provided, + other usual benefits.

Company accommodation (furnished, with internet, TV etc.) & transport is provided which we conservatively value at 5K / month. Flights, medical, visa's etc. are also provided. All we don't provide is food and day to day living expenses.
