My client is an international consultancy with strong operating Units across the GCC. As such they have a number of opportunities across the region including a commercial manager role to join the Qatar team.

The role will be working for a PQS Consultancy so will cover the typical roles covering CM, Contract Administration and claims review. The right candidates must be able to demonstrate and deliver excellent leadership of a Quantity Surveying team coupled with the appropriate interface with internal and external stakeholders and strong client development skills.

Programme
Total Cost Management
& Project Management

The types of projects that you would be involved with would cover the major infrastructure development work currently taking place in QATAR, in respect of Roads and major Highways, Utilities, Rail/ MTR etc. You will also have strong capability in build environments as not all work will be infrastructure led and you would need to be able to develop with the market and growth.

Requirements

You will have led QS teams on major commissions and be able to maintain the Bottom Line as well as develop and expand consistent fee generation. Candidates must be fully conversant with FIDIC contracts.
Candidate should be Chartered MRICS with a good Quantity Surveying Degree.
Further academic Qualification in MSc Construction Law and Arbitration and MCIArb would also be an advantage but not essential
You will have at least 5 years experience of working the middle east with a recognised consultancy.
You should have 10 years PQE.

Salary expectation on this role is in the region of 45-54,000 QR. Plus flight and Insurances.
