Job description / Role
Commercial Manager will be responsible for business development and all commercial matters with the strategic objective of achieving the business plans and growth strategies of the company.
Commercial Manager shall work closely with the CEO and Management in developing the growth strategy and business plans that meet the aspirations of the board of directors and
shareholders and in the Corporate Performance Management.
Commercial Manager shall work closely with the Customer Service Department and Contracts and Procurement Department for providing advice and in negotiating various contracts in the best interest of the company.
• Oversee business plan preparation and its presentation to board and shareholders with the objective of meeting the growth and profitability strategy and risk management.
• Be the driver for Corporate Performance Management
• Managing the revenue model of the company in line with the business plan and targets approved by the board.
• Developing growth and business development strategies.
• Interacting with potential customers, landlord and other stakeholders for business development.
• Be the interface with Projects Dept and Operations and Maintenance Dept for infrastructure planning
• Developing tariff strategy with the support of Finance.
• Advising on customer contracts with the support of legal advisors, presenting it to board for approval and negotiating the contract with customers.
• Managing customer contract issues and supporting customer service department on contractual and legal aspects of customer contracts.
• Advising Projects & Planning and Contracts and Procurement Departments on various construction and procurement contracts
Requirements
• Degree in Engineering or a similar discipline is required. A post graduate degree is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in commercial or business development.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience gained with managing a department is required
• Computer efficiency in MS Projects etc.
• Ability to negotiate and advocate for the company.
