Job description / Role
The Role
Leading commercial management on a major multi-billion dollar infrastructure or building programme from inception to completion. Projects range from major Hospitality schemes such as Katara at $1.5B, Lusail City Qatar, etc. You would be responsible for the financial effectiveness and profitability of the project through contractual and commercial management with a strong focus on managing cost, pre and post contract role applies as does managing internal and external teams of surveyor and contract administration, a key part of the role is the ability to develop stakeholder relationships with the client and the whole project team to work together and successfully deliver the programme.
The role will cover Pre contract activity such as, Leading cost planning and monitoring, Value Engineering on projects with weighted Risk and Commercial accountability. Manage commercial activities within own portfolio area covering contractors and sub contractors Commercial management or programme. Team leadership and direction on cost planning, management, contractual documentations etc, Sub-contract strategies and risk assessments Leading commercial input to sub-contract specifications Leading the tender process from commencement to completion Leads negotiations with suppliers, as well as post contract procurement systems, identifying opportunities to improve delivery, commercial monitoring, sub-contract management and sub-contract administration and managing of delivery and risk, ensuring he commercial delivery of key projects in region and under your responsibility.
Requirements
Key requirements are;
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (only) or equivalent. With MRICS
Major project experience above $100m USD.
At least 15 years post degree experience
Best practice Procurement principles and methodologies
Contract Law and commercial legislation
Knowledge of procurement legislation
Understanding of principles of commercial risk management
Understanding of principles of project management
Packages on offer range from 55-70k Per Month QR, plus Healthcare, holiday allowances. The top range will need to be 20 years + experience.
