We have recently been awarded an extension of time to a prestigious Expressway project. As such we are seeking to strengthen the commercial team by bringing on board a commercial manager to lead our commercial team.

The successful candidate with have gained experience on large scale infrastructure (Roads) projects / programmes.

The Commercial Manager will be responsible for the day to day administration of the post contact quantity surveying services; providing commercial advise to the client, managing claims,

Core Responsibilities:
- Report on a project level daily to the Senior Resident Engineer.
- Reporting on a business level to the Commercial Director.
- Responsibility for a commercial team of 10+ full time staff.
- Responsible for the administration of the post contract quantity surveying services.
- Responsible for providing a weekly and monthly cost reports and to present the reports to the client.
- Review, evaluate and make recommendations on contractors valuations
- Review, evaluate and make recommendations on claims raised by the contractor.
- Finalize the Final Accounts of the project.

Requirements

- Western educated, degree holder from a certified university.
- Chartered Quantity Surveyor by a recognised institute such as the RICS or CIOB
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience with major highways construction projects.
- Middle East experience, with a preference to Qatar experience
- Hands on experience in claims/arbitration and dispute resolution are essential.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in respect of international contracts requirements as applicable to large scale construction contracts.
- Proven ability to work and manage projects of large scale and complexity; and produce quality works on time and within budget.
- Have excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Be a team player and be able to work independently on own initiative
- Have excellent presentational and interpersonal skill
