Commercial Officer

Job description / Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

a. Market fabrication and ship repair services to customers
b. Develop strategies to win contract for fabrication and ship repair projects.
c. Monitor and analyze competitors, market trends, customer characteristics, demographics and provide regular reports to management
d. Identify new business opportunities
e. Maintain relationship with customers and perform regular visits
f. Promote the yard’s activities within the regional shipping industry
g. Represent the yard in exhibitions and trade fairs
h. Provide support to commercial section in communication with client and in pricing
i. Liaise with project manager & project superintendents to ensure client requirements / variations are dealt with efficiently and promptly
j. Respond to client complaints
k. Assist Yard Manager & Commercial Manager in contract’s negotiation
l. Any other duties as assigned from time to time

Requirements

Requirements:

a. Strong communication skills, able to communicate effectively with a variety of people including internal and external customers and vendors.
b. Proficiency in both English.
c. Ability to work with different cultures and with a diverse range of people
