Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Reports to : Director, Commercial Planning & Projects

Purpose:

* Assist in during the Business Planning cycles directed by the Director of Commercial planning undertaking benchmarking, tracking, and business planning activities
* Coordinate countries engagement for Commercial area – aligned with the Group’s overall process
* Communicate guidelines to Country operations in order to ensure that commercial planning activities are carried out as per expectations and best practices are applied
* Track a comprehensive set of commercial indicators. Check accuracy & reliability of data.
* Provide reports & benchmarks used to develop meaningful & actionable analyses on a regular basis regarding Opcos commercial indicators/overall market situation.

Role Accountabilities:

• Business Planning and Performance management processes
- Provide input to improve business planning and performance management processes.
- Prepare planning and reporting templates as per guidelines from the Director, Commercial Planning.

• Business Planning and performance management implementation
- Provide support and guidance to the operations in implementing the business planning and performance management processes.
- Ensure deliverables are produced on time as per agreed process and follow up with the operations.
- Review key deliverables to ensure their quality, provide analysis and feedback and check accuracy of data. In particular, review, check, and provide feedback on submissions and forecasts from the operations on customers forecast, revenue, market share, traffic and ARPU.
- Work closely with other Group entities (Strategy, Finance, Operations teams) to check consistency of data and conduct joint analysis
- When required by the Director Commercial planning, participate in Opcos reviews and strategic planning sessions and provide input into the commercial guidelines
- Document and record issues identified, contribute to drafting action plans and track them, jointly with the operating companies
- Report on progress on corrective action plans and track variance against plan

• Develop analyses on a regular basis and for specific requests and projects, either for a specific operation or at group level
- Define format of required analysis with Director Commercial Planning
- Collect data and ensure it is reliable and consistent
- Present the benchmarks in a clear and comprehensive manner
- Contribute to providing insights and analysis based on the benchmarks
- Present results to top management
- Provide input to group commercial strategies based on these analysis

• Lead specific projects for the Commercial team as assigned by the Group CCO

• Ensure Commercial Projects are properly coordinated and follow project management best practices

• Assist the Group CCO and the Director Commercial Planning in managing key stakeholders in particular CEO Committee.

Requirements

* Minimum of 8 years of experience, 2 years of which should be in business planning or as a business analyst.
* Must have experience to work with complex models and conduct detailed revenue and forecast analysis.
* Must have experience either in business planning, revenue planning or as a business analyst.
* Knowledge of telecom environment, in particular the core mobile telecom business (mobile voice and data)
* Excellent analytical skills (qualitative and quantitative skills).
* Must have knowledge of business planning. Ideally with a specific experience on revenue planning in a telecom operator
* Proven ability to prepare clear presentation with meaningful insight.
