Commercial / Procurement Engineer / Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

1. Prepare tenders and ensure submission
2. Responsible for the day to day inquiries, quotations and the development of commercial systems
3. Provide administration support to management.
4. Ensuring that all commercial aspects are analyzed carefully.
5. Attend to clients queries , follow up and respond in timely manner
6. The preparation of Bills and/or Schedules of Quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and equipment of building, or engineering works, and;
7. The preparation and valuation of progress and final payments in connection with any contract or sub-contract, and;
8. The appraisal of the value of proposed constructions or other structures already erected, and;
9. The preparation of specifications when required so to do, and;
10. Acting as arbitrator in cases of dispute in connection with building, or engineering work, when required so to do, and;
11. To advise from time to time on cost management, or value management.
12. To carry out such other duties as may properly be those of a Quantity Surveyor.

Requirements

- BSc Civil Engineering
- Min experience of 5 years with a geotechnical firm
- Fluent in English and technical writing
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation
