Commercial Specialist

Job description / Role

- Reporting to Business support Manager.
- Experience in multiple producing basins, export systems, and fiscal regimes required.
- Preferred experience includes direct involvement in commercial export decision analysis, experience in core operations of oil & gas assets.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and being a team player.
- Relationship Management; Ability to initiate, develop and maintain working relations both horizontally and vertically throughout any business organization.
- Understands oil and gas value chain elements and their interactions and how value drives, risk and uncertainty are addressed contractually value drivers.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of oil and gas market fundamentals and the dynamics of competing fuels.
- Gathers competitive market intelligence and uses data to gain competitive advantage. Identifies and understands risks to the business and recommends ways of mitigating.
- Develops runs and audits economic models, Understands and interprets fiscal terms, understands and models risk and uncertainty.
- Detailed working knowledge of commercial contracts; ability to read commercial contracts as an advocate for the company's goals.
- Ability to understand different JV structures and translate this knowledge into business risk and value assessments.
- Proactive in building trust, exploring options, clarifying understanding, and managing expectations.
- Clarifies objectives, project time lines, and success criteria, progresses discussions and actions to deliver results

Requirements

- Graduate/ Post Graduate in Business, Technical, or similarly related discipline is required.
- 8-10 years relevant industry experience is required; preferably in a variety of roles within the Oil and Gas industry (upstream).
- Preferences will be given to Arabic speaking candidates.
