Commercial Team Leader (Rail)

Job description / Role

My client are a major international consultancy whose expertise covers transportation, civil and water sectors. Having won a flagship contract on a major metro project they are looking for an experienced leader to manage the duration of the contract.

The candidate shall take up his position immediately after the contract has been signed and shall be available to provide assistance during the full duration of the contract. The candidate shall be based full-time in Cairo. The candidate will work part time as Procurement Expert and part time as Contract Manager and Team Leader.

Requirements

- At least a Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant educational background
- Fluent in English language and proficient user of MS-Office tools
- Minimum of 15 years of work experience as a transport engineer
- International work experience, preferably in developing countries
- At least 10 years experience with procurement management and contract management
- At least one experience as contract manager on a project of similar size, preferably in the rail or urban transport sector
- Involvement in at least one large metro project, in the last ten years
- Good knowledge of the FIDIC contracts
- Documented experience in working with the procedures and software proposed by the PMTS
- Strong experience in building the capacities of counterpart staff, preferably in developing/ emerging countries
