Commercial and Contracts Manager - Abu Dhabi
Salary 37,000 – 45,000 AED
Our Client is an Abu Dhabi based chemical manufacturing company, determined to meet the growing demand for aluminum fluoride in the Middle East and cover the part of the import requirement of the nearby regions. The plant is under initial startup and soon will be into production.
At this new and exciting stage they are building the team, and are currently recruiting for a Commercial/Contracts Manager. This is a diverse role where you will be heading three departments of sales, procurement and manufacturing at the Production Plant and reporting back to the Plant Manager. The main focus will be on accessing of potential commercial risks and mitigation assessment involved in the contracts between both the company and the client.
You will lead and develop a global strategy and marketing plan for the company’s share of production from the planned global investment.
Responsibilities:
• You will lead, negotiate and finalize long term feedstock supply arrangements for raw materials.
• Lead to finalize product-marketing agreements with Customers
• Conduct market, competitor and customer analysis as input to strategy development and evaluation of potential customers and partners
• Conduct commercial and economic due diligence on new investment opportunities. Provide economic modeling support during analysis of potential investments or acquisitions
• Collaborate with legal and finance to support Business Unit in preparing and negotiating customer related commercial agreements to satisfy the requirements of the Plant and safeguard company interests
• Collaborate with customers to evaluate potential downstream sales of each product (e.g. feasibility, FEED and EPIC investment decision)
• Participate in the team set up to undertake initial screening of potential downstream investment opportunities
• Evaluate, define and secure optimum market and prices for products including analysis product and feedstock market assessments and pricing analysis, development of pricing forecasts and options for both raw materials and finished products
• Development and maintenance of product demand database, traders, buyers, quality specifications and volumes.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Studies
• 12 to 15 Years’ experience within the chemical and or the production industry
• Capable of reading contracts and identifying commercial risks and mitigation assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent Negotiation skills
• Excellent Man Management skills
• Experience and knowledge of the market in the Gulf Region
