Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To provide with full responsibility and accountability, a technical service to the Client, of testing and commissioning as part of the Engineering process to ensure that through the developed processes the components of and the completed system(s) meet the requirements of the specifications, contractor's stated and optimized performance levels and correct functionality of the design for all aspects covering Electrical, HVAC, Telecom, IT, Audio Visual facilities, Building management.

Develop commissioning plans and procedures in conjunction with designers, construction managers and contractors. Evolve and establish interface and integration tests, strategies and any other requirements with the Client and their contractors, witness tests, checks and inspections and ensure that all errors or omissions are reported through the appropriate process and documentation systems to the project design / construction management team(s). Coordinate all testing and commissioning and ensure it meets all our client’s policies and procedures, requirements and that projects are delivered to Program.
Contribute toward updating discipline Engineering Codes, Standards, Specifications and Philosophies.

Requirements

Skills

Minimum of 12 years broad based experience in large building and civil infrastructure projects, covering the spectrum of design, installation, testing and commissioning of building services systems, particularly in the Middle East. Area of expertise should encompass HVAC, fire protection, automatic controls, infrastructure works, plumbing, drainage, internal / external lighting, infrastructure works, small power, telecommunications, data, fire alarms, public address etc.

B. Engineering degree in Electrical

Preferably Corporate membership with a recognized chartered engineering status or other professional Institution.
Membership of a Building Commissioning Association / Institution is highly desirable;
LEED AP (LEED V minimum) or BREEAM Gulf assessor or Qatar Sustainability Assessment System (QSAS) Assessor qualifications desirable.
