International Shipyard Operator
Tax Free Salary package up to US$65,000 + family tickets + family medical
Based in Dubai, UAE
A challenging opportunity now exists with a major shipyard operator. They are currently seeking to hire an experienced Commissioning Engineer. This role is based in Dubai, UAE.
The successful candidate will play a key role for commissioning, tests and sea trials of systems and equipment of New Building projects.
Responsibilities:
• Provide input to Project Planner for preparation of Project Commissioning schedule and set the priorities of the systems for pre-commissioning/ commissioning in conjunction with commissioning schedule.
• Provide input to prepare Commissioning Procedure.
• Co-ordinate with commissioning team to perform pre-commissioning/ commissioning according to the written procedure and to monitor progress.
• Monitor the commissioning activities performed by Service Engineers on Owner Supplied Equipment.
• Ensure all documentations are signed off by relevant authorities after successful completion of pre-commissioning/ commissioning, sea trials.
• Co-ordinate with Project Engineer to prepare final documentation of the vessel.
• Develop sub-ordinates by training.
• Ensure that the Safety, Quality & Environment requirements of the yard are strictly followed.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned by the section head
Requirements
• First class Marine Engineer with experience of sailing as Chief Engineer on board ships or offshore vessels.
• Should be experienced in commissioning activities in any of the Marine/ Offshore Construction field.
• Minimum 5 years Marine Commissioning Engineer in New Building Ship yard.
• Experience as sailing Chief Engineer of Offshore Seismic Vessels.
• Good English communication skills
