COMMISSIONING SUPERVISION MANAGER FOR COAL FIRED POWER PLANT

My client is a global consulting and engineering company dedicated to balanced sustainability. We offer our clients integrated management consulting, total solutions for complex projects and efficient, best-in-class design and supervision.

We are seeking to recruit a Commissioning Supervision Manager to supervise commissioning activities as part of the owners engineering team at a 2 x 30MW coal fired power station project in Indonesia. The tentative assignment duration is a minimum of 7 months from March/April 2015.

Responsibilities:
- The Commissioning Supervision Manager shall be responsible for the supervision of the commissioning activities undertaken by the EPC contractor of the coal fired power plant installations including performance test and reliability run.
- Review and approve commissioning procedures detailing the process to be followed for each test.
- Monitor commissioning schedule.
- Supervise construction to commissioning handovers after mechanical completion.
- Supervise the commissioning work performed by the EPC contractor.
- Provide regular and ad-hoc reports on commissioning status.
- Supervise the startup and initial operation of the subsystems and the plant as a whole.
- Supervise the preparation and testing of the plants performance tests.
- Lead regular site meetings and maintain accurate records and minutes.
- Lead the site supervision team.
- Comply and operate to the highest standard with regards all Health, Safety & Environmental Regulations.

Requirements

- Minimum 10 years experience in Commissioning of coal fired power plants, preferably CFB type.
- Extensive experience in handling of lock-out and tagging procedures.
- Extensive experience in review and approval of test procedures, start-up and operating procedures, calibration certification etc.
- Motivated, leader personality with leadership qualities and with good communication skills.
- Experience in working in remote locations with all associated challenges.
