Commissioning Manager

Job description / Role

- Produce pre-comm./commissioning philosophies
- Identify resources required for each project and produce overall testing schedule
- Investigate / introduce new technologies to improve schedules and increase safety
- Participate in audits and reviews e.g. HAZOP, design reviews, audits and make relevant recommendations
- Oversee the activities of the testing subcontractors
- Review all procedures
- Ensure all risk assessments are performed
- Oversee onshore testing at 3rd party fabricators
- Onsite management of subcontractor at fabrication sites and vessels as required.
- Manage pre-comm./commissioning subcontracts including the raising of purchase orders, tracking of variation orders and approving all final invoices.
- Assist with review and assessment of pre-comm./commissioning subcontract frame agreements
- CMS (Commissioning Management System) development during Engineering period (MCPLUS)
- Input commissioning requirements for MR/PO
- Review engineering documents and vendor prints as an operational view

Requirements

- Chemical/mechanical engineer with minimum 15 years professional experience in oil & gas and petrochemical industry overseeing subcontractors, direct hire employees and third party contractors
- Experience in pre-comm./commissioning and ready for start-up of Hydrogen Units
- Experience in operations/maintenance of a refinery is mandatory
- Excellent organizational skills and leadership qualities with a proactive approach and positive thinking
- Ability to interact effectively with people and handle issues between multiple identities of the company and contractor
