Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

• Select, lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of professional commissioning engineers and technical and administrative support staff to ensure that, commissioning engineering are completed on time within budget and as per the set goals.
• Create career development programmes for the team and develop medium-term planning for the growth of the process.
• Organize and co-ordinate all site activities, from pre-commissioning up to the performance test, as requested in the contract.
• Define the daily activities and develop the day-by-day planning following the priorities.
• Assist in the development of the field organizations Ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are carried out according to stated procedures and agreed schedule.
• Prepare and implement a plan, which considers constraints resulted from the construction phasing to optimise the overall project schedule.
• Liaise with Client Project Team, Project Management, Subcontractors and Vendors Representatives. Assist the QA Site in implementing the handover system and preparing the Commissioning Documentation Dossier for hand over to the Company.
• Liaise with the E&I Construction Manager to establish an integrated approach to project completion and pre-commissioning.
• Undertakes a ‘commissioning review' of P&ID's prior to issue for construction. (EPC Projects)
• Participates in HAZOP reviews (EPC Projects).
• Work with the Client/Main Contractor to plan issues of procedures/plans/method statements and other documents required for execution of the project completion/pre-commissioning phase.

Requirements

• Masters or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years relevant working experience on EPC construction, on site and in office.
• Experience of commissioning and start up for plants and systems for projects in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical or Pharmaceutical Industries
• Well-versed in all local and international codes and standards on the related field and Design & Engineering calculations
• Knowledge of piping/equipment installations and testing methods.
