Job description / Role
Our client, one of the fastest growing public safety and security solutions organisations globally, is looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Commissioning Supervision Engineer - Sensors to their UAE team. Our employer seeks a proven performer to assist on their main projects in the region, which include the implementation of advanced integrated security solutions for critical assets, safe city and border protection.
Reporting to the Outdoor Deployment Manager, you responsibilities will include:
• Subcontractor management on a day to day basis, in close cooperation with the Outdoor Deployment Manager
• Ensure all deliverables are in place to execute work in cooperation with Project Manager, logistics and procurement for the assigned site
• Highlight and manage necessary design changes at site in cooperation with the design engineer for the assigned site
• Define countermeasures in case of deviations to plan and direct reporting of any impacts to the master work program
• Manage handover certificates
• Provide assistance to the Project Manager in close cooperation with the procurement manager and logistics to ensure that all deliveries are in place to progress the work in time and to program
Requirements
Essential attributes include:
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering with supervisory experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in infrastructure site management electrical work, including understanding of drawings
• Experience in MS Word, Excel, Visio, AutoCAD
• Experience with monitoring techniques, Safe Working processes, Quality process
• Previous experience in progress monitoring alongside a delivery program
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Excellent English verbal, reading and writing skills are essential
