Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Perform and demonstrate the following:

• Perform witnessing and inspection activities on behalf of Sadara Manufacturing to ensure EPC pre-commissioning activities are executed according to Owner requirements.
• Assist the Sadara Plant Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning, and Startup (C&SU) Leader in leading and coordinating witnessing and inspection of EPC field pre-commissioning activities including planning, communications, work activity assignments, tracking progress, intervening and escalating issues.
• Work with C&SU Leaders, Operations, Maintenance and other Functional team members to review and develop plant pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup plans, procedures, and related operating discipline for new facilities following procedure templates and guidelines.
• Participate and coordinate execution of Sadara site C&SU work processes during pre-commissioning, Turnover, and early Commissioning including field inspections, planning and tracking of work execution, punch listing, P&ID checks, etc…
• Review and approve EPC detailed pre-commissioning plans and procedures and develop, commissioning, and startup procedures for all piping, equipment, instrument and electrical, buildings, civil/structural, and process systems for new petrochemical plant facilities.
• Incorporate EH&S into all aspects of operating discipline development and delivery demonstrating knowledge and importance of EH&S in plant operations.
• Provide field support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup of new facilities including field EH&S observations and interventions during Construction and pre-commissioning.
• Work closely with technology experienced plant engineers and technicians to develop, format, and deliver P,C&SU procedures on schedule.
• Work closely with EPC and Construction contractor to create complimentary procedures defining roles and responsibilities, and interfaces between contractor and various owner roles.
• Lead and coordinate reviews of preliminary and flnal versions of all C&SU materials to ensure technical accuracy.
• Ensure quality of procedures and related deliverables meets Customer expectations.
• Develop P,C&SU training materials, conduct and deliver training for plant operators, engineers, and related staff on P,C&SU procedures.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
Technical Degree, Vocational College or Apprenticeship in petrochemical plant operations, or significant experience in plant operations.

7 or more years of experience in petrochemical plant operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup (C&SU) preferably in a large integrated petrochemical site. Must be able to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written). Experience with EH&S, plant operations, basic process control, clearing of equipment and preparation for maintenance, plant troubleshooting, and use of management systems and procedures.
