Job description / Role
- Establish and maintain process, policies and procedures for corporate communications as and when required in close coordination with stakeholders.
- Develop strategies and implement improvement programs to enhance internal communication channels and effectiveness of its intended purposes.
- Provide communication advice and support to corporate communication providers.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure consistency between and coordination of internal and external communications.
- Lead, coach and counsel communication stakeholders and coordinators to improve effectiveness of communications.
- Share best practices on communication and ensure consistent deployment of suitable practises in ZAPIA.
- Work with functional heads and communication stakeholders to plan, coordinate and execute corporate communication activities.
- Develop and maintain communication calendar.
- Manage corporate communication budget.
Encourage Corporate Social Responsibility
- Work with colleagues to deliver an effective CSR programme which position ZAPIA as a good corporate citizen and employer and re-enforces brand value.
- Establish strong corporate relationships with key community organisations, charitable partners and local influencers/groups.
- Encourage employee involvement in the community and raise awareness through appropriate internal communication channels.
Miscellaneous
- Contribute in developing plans for the department aligned with ZAPIA policies & strategies.
- Attend assigned meetings, committee meetings, and conferences, as required.
- Coordinate with other Sections and Departments within ZAPIA to ensure that the department works as a team and achieves its objectives.
- Keep abreast of professional developments, new techniques, and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
- Perform any other related activity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication or equivalent (essential)
- Master Degree in Communications or equivalent (preferred)
- 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in management.
