Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff is assisting Qatar Rail’s multibillion planned works to integrate a 4-line 100-station metro, high-speed passenger rail, freight, a people mover and light rail, which once delivered will provide a fast, convenient, world-class, fully integrated railway system for the State of Qatar.
We are functioning as Project Management Office (PMO).
Due to this we are currently looking to recruit a Communications Manager to join us in Doha.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
• Responsible for the development of the PMO requirements within the Qatar Rail Communications and PR Policy and Strategy
• Responsible for the development of the PMO requirements within the Program Communication Management Plan
• Responsible for the development of the PMO requirements within the Corporate Communications and PR department in identifying where public involvement would be appropriate and to assist in the development of communications materials as required
• Responsible for the development of the PMO requirements within the Corporate Communications and PR department with any responses to public or stakeholder queries or comments on the program as required
• Responsible for interfacing with all relevant parties within the Program with respect to Corporate Communications and PR activities
• Responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications and PR department with event management activities including conferences, special events and exhibitions
• Responsible for supporting the production of Communications materials (presentations, online media etc) for all relevant parties within the Program
• Responsible for acting as the single point of contact between the Corporate Communications and PR department and the PMO with respect to provision of Program/Project data
• He/She would be working along with the reporting team and help with reporting and PR coordination.
Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline
• 10+ yrs of relevant experience
• Arabic speaking preferred, need to have construction background with Communications
• Excellent analytic skills
• Able to work under limited supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
