Job description / Role
An exciting role has arisen for an Internal Communications Officer and editor to support the communications team with all aspects of its internal communications delivery.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all editorial content produced by the department, and the development of the current internal communications platform and tools in addition to coming up with new internal communications idea that will help enhancing communication between the various internal departments and employees.
The Internal Communications Officer will be responsible for the drafting, coordination and delivery of internal communications content including staff e-newsletter, daily news briefing and staff notices.
Requirements
Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or any relevant field
Essential Criteria
At least 3 years of experience in Communications and/or related fields
Excellent English (written and spoken) ( Arabic is a plus)
Strong writing, editorial and proofreading skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills with excellent command of MS Office applications .
Ability to grasp client needs and consider practical solutions
Good team-working skills
Flexibility to work extra hours when needed
Ability to handle multiple projects at once
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Desirable Criteria
Experience in the Middle East is desirable.
Proficiency in Sharepoint content management
Responsibilities
Drafting, compiling and coordinating the internal Staff e-newsletter
Intranet content and news update (Sharepoint)
Media monitoring
Daily news briefing report
Work closely with various internal stakeholders to draft and develop content that aligns with the entity’s mission and vision (staff notices, emails and outgoing letters..)
Support with the organisation of internal and staff events
Assist the PR & Communications Department in achieving its objectives
Help out on other team projects when required
