Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client a Diplomatic Embassy based in Abu Dhabi established since 2002 is looking for a Communications Officer to join their organization.

Responsibilities of this role will be to deliver a wide range of communications activities and projects in both English and Arabic to external associates. This position will support the Embassys work with media and other partners to create a broad understanding of its aims, values, policies and potential within the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

Responsibilities will consist of:
- Implementing and contributing to projects aimed at promoting its national affairs and appearances.
- To produce journalistic text in Arabic and English
- Must network and build relations with Embassy associates
- Arrange and coordinate visiting programs
- Monitor current affairs in Arabic and English media
- Answer questions about the Embassys associated nation from specific partners and the general public
- Contribute to internal analysis and reporting on economy and trade
- Contribute to the overall work of the Embassy

Salary : AED 13,000 - AED 18,000

Requirements

- University degree in preferably Communication , Journalism, or Business Administration
- Fluency in spoken and written Arabic and English
- Previous work experience in a relevant field
- Excellent social media and presentation skills
- Excellent journalistic writing ability
- Knowledge of economic and trade affairs
- Ability to analyze complex information from a range of sources
- Good knowledge of networking groups in the UAE
- Interest in developing knowledge about the Embassys country, its business, economic and promotion policies
- An out-going personality, with team building skills and flexibility
