Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

ACK is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated candidate to join its growing team in the Admission & Registration Department as Communications & Scholarships Officer.

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Manager in the development and maintenance of all college Website information and content of college publications such as Student Handbook, Annual Report, Year Book and Newsletters.

Other duties will include administration of the ACK Academic Scholarships, Bursaries and Awards programs

Requirements

Essential:
- Degree in Media, Communications or related field.
- Demonstrated background, knowledge and experience in preparation of substantial publications
- Proven creativity in presentation of materials for internal and external stakeholders
- High level research and analytical skills to assess client needs and to develop appropriate responses and implement actions.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proven report writing and presentation skills
- Advanced ability to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion, confidentiality and problem solving/ decision making skills
- Advanced Information Technology (IT) skills
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills as well as organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised, and as a member of a team
- High level of English Language proficiency
- Outstanding work ethics
- Professional Appearance.

DESIRABLE:
- Portfolio to demonstrate previous involvement in development of publication materials
- Experience in the educational sector
- Arabic Language proficiency

About the Company

The Australian College of Kuwait has been established under Kuwait Law 34/2000, governing private universities in Kuwait, to provide internationally recognized and accredited education and training to the Business, Engineering, and Maritime sectors. It was licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education under Amiri Decree 141/2003 and commenced operation in October 2004.

The Australian College of Kuwait is the vision of its Chairman, Mr. Abdullah Abdul Mohsen Al Sharhan, who knows that the Australian vocational curriculum is the best in the world and has brought these world-leading courses to Kuwait to assist the development of Kuwait and its young people.

The Private Universities Council (PUC) oversees the operation of ACK from the governments perspective and has accredited the College to operate as a provider of higher education courses. Initially offering two-year diploma courses, ACK now has PUC approval to offer degree programs as well. A 2+2 course is available whereby students obtain their diploma in two years and can then continue, if they wish, to study for a further two years to obtain their degree. This arrangement is unique in Kuwait.
