Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff are currently working on a major roads and drainage project in Doha. We are currently looking to increase our Stakeholder Division and due to this we are looking to recruit a Communications and Public Relations Manager.
The Communications Manager will assist in all communications with relevant government agencies, departments, and applicable authorities with mandated authority over the programme. In addition, the Communications and Public Relations Manager will work with the Stakeholder Interface and Communications Manager and the Public Relations department of our client to provide awareness as well as feedback to the public. The CPRM will manage communications, both internal external and with the public throughout the life cycle of the programme and programme. The CPRM will assist the SICPRM to verify that the appropriate communications lines are established to facilitate timely coordination with stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
•Provide information used in public awareness campaigns
•Prepare presentations and material to be used for stakeholders and public interface
•The Communications and Public Relations Manager will be responsible for the flow of information including identifying the need for information, the format, the frequency and method for the distribution of information.
• Assist in monitoring General Engineer Consultant (GEC) programme delivery against established baselines for required approvals, permitting, utility/services diversions and land ownership.
•Ensure the implementation of all communications and flow of information across the programme.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience working within a Communications and Publication Relations Manager position
Degree in Communications or similar
Middle East experience preferred
Knowledge of the construction/engineering sector preferred
Fluent in both English and Arabic is preferred
