Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Develop and implement PR and community outreach programs to cater for the local communities. i.e. community outreach, awareness campaigns, social and educational activities towards, sport organizations, schools, universities, clubs, etc.
- Assess the prevalent public image of the client in the local community and recommend and implement action plans to mitigate a positive image of the client’s contribution to the local community, and address all issues and negative opinion about the client through outreach programs.
- Plan and coordinate with the VIPs & Visitors Relation Senior Specialist of surrounding communities to the client (social and sports clubs, schools and municipalities, etc.).
- Coordinate with the Head of PR & Media and other relevant client and SUBs departments the outreach program towards local organizations.
- Represent the client in the local community whenever advised by PR & Media Manager.
- Contribute to the promotion of the client and its SUBs by identifying/recommending opportunities for participation in community domestic events. Assess such opportunities and submit recommendations to the Head of PR & Media. Actively take part in these events.
- Assist in the development of the client communication tools (brochures and other publications material, promotional material) designed for community outreach and public awareness campaigns.
- Initiate and organize non-commercial events such as environmental and family days in order to promote the client and build positive relationships with local communities and other interested parties.
- Liaise with end-user focal points to develop community outreach program and other events that might be required to promote the client and its end users in the local communities.
- Develop and implement programs and activities for the client staff that contribute in building a positive relationship between the staff.
- Develop an effective administration system for this function by compiling an annual community outreach plan for all important events.
- Assume any other responsibilities as directed by the direct supervisor.

Requirements

• 4 - 6 years public relations work experience. 2 years should be in a similar position / responsibility, preferably in a similar Industry.
• Understanding of popular social networks, functionality, users.
• Bachelor’s degree Business Administration with specialization in Marketing/Public Relation.
• Excellent oral and written English and Arabic.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
