A leading global advertising agency is looking for a well-organized and driven community manager to become part of the team based in Beirut, Lebanon.

The Community manager is responsible for activities where heavy involvement will be in online communities and Social Media. The ideal candidate will come from an online/digital background and be a very driven and results orientated individual with excellent attention to detail. The successful candidate will be committed and looking for an exciting new challenge.

Key responsibilities.

• Lead the development and distribution of compelling stories and messaging that generate awareness, preference and demand of the company and gradually reinforce their position as a thought leader.

• Establish sustained relationships with key media publications.

• Working with Product Marketing, build relationships with relevant industry analysts and conduct regular briefings to keep the Agency top-of-mind.

• Maintain an understanding of the business, with a strong knowledge of relevant issues and trends that impact the company’s business and reputation.

• Manage Editorial Calendar and generate interesting and compelling content (articles, commentary, videos) that aligns the company’s view with market trends and provides a sustained forum to convey their themes and messages.

• Support the organization of customer events and participation in industry-related events.

• Support the development of print and digital/web collateral/copy.

• Develop metrics that measure effectiveness of Communications/PR and Social Media activities.

Qualifications and Experience.

• Proven track record of planning and executing successful media relations programs

•2+ years’ experience as an in-house or agency communications professional. Industry experience (domestic and international) is a must – preferably in the Media(advertising ) industry.

• Strong written communications skills, which will include writing press releases, online social media communications, scripts, speeches, marketing collateral and byline articles.

• Documented B2B social media experience and active participation in a wide variety of activities such as community development and forum management

• Experience in developing and executing strategic public relations plans

• Experience in event planning.

• Experience establishing PR/communications, and social media performance metrics.

• Ability to be flexible and deal with changing priorities and timelines/due dates

• Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and strong quantitative skills

• BA/BS in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations-related field preferred
