Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Implement the organizations reward strategy so that its compensation and benefits outcomes meet current and future business needs and are consistent with the organizations desired internal and external market position.
- Design and implement the organizations compensation and benefit programs and activities so that they meet the organizations objectives with regards to internal equity and external market competitiveness.
- These programs include job evaluation and classification; salary administration; short-term, long-term and sales incentive plans; employee benefits (such as health, insurance, motor vehicles, perquisites); expatriate compensation; executive compensation; workers compensation; salary packaging; retirement, pension and superannuation plans.
- Liaise with functional or operational area managers to develop and implement local compensation strategies that are appropriate for their business needs, but consistent with the organizations overall reward strategy.
- Analyze and evaluate external market data as well as internal data about the organizations current employee population and future human resource needs in order to develop salary budgets and forecasts that are consistent with the organizations reward strategy.
- Select, and manage ongoing relationships with external consultants and suppliers (for example, insurance carriers, actuaries, benefit providers) to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.
- Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of compensation and benefits professionals to ensure that the organizations reward strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets and that the organization complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards.
- Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Analyze compensation policies, government regulations, and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan.
- Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations.
- Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits, compensation, and personnel policies.
- Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs, including the integration of benefit programs following mergers and acquisitions.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, and employee relations.
- Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees, by working with brokers and researching benefits issues.
- Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selection, and to guide managers through compensation decisions.
- Prepare detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other managers.
- Prepare budgets for personnel operations.

Reporting to: HR Director

Requirements

- BA/ BSc in Business Administration, Human Resource Management or in a closely related field such as economics, business, administration or industrial relations.
- HR-related certificates (e.g.,CIPD, PHR, SPHR, etc.) is must.
- A minimum of 10 years working in a HR C&B, at least 3 years of which should be in a Managerial position.
