Our client is a leading bank that was established in 1975 and is incorporated in Bahrain as a conventional wholesale bank. Our client provides its services in the GCC countries and internationally, they offer structured financing and advisory services for corporate and institutional customers in various sectors.

They are currently looking to recruit a Compensation and Benefits Manager to be based in Bahrain

Duties & Responsibilities:

Analyze compensation policies, government regulations and prevailing wage rates to develop competitive compensation plan
Design, evaluate and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are up to date, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements (e.g. pension and insurance plans)
Fulfill reporting requirements in accordance with relevant government regulations
Prepare detailed job descriptions and classification systems and define job levels and families, in partnership with other managers
Conduct job evaluations for the staff to ensure fairness in salaries
Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees, by working with brokers and researching benefits issues
Develop tools to assist employees in benefits selection and to guide managers through compensation decisions
Mediate between benefits providers and employees such as assisting in handling employees' benefits-related questions or taking suggestions
Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform the staff of benefits, compensation and personnel policies
Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employee compensation and benefits
Prepare budgets for personnel operations
Develop and maintain records systems for the staff
Compile compensation and benefits related reports on a regular basis
Pursue any other compensation and benefits related activities as directed by the Chief Human Resources Officer

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

University degree in business administration, organizational psychology or related social sciences
5+ years work experience in recruitment management and development at an organization with at least 1,000 employees
Professional exposure to banking and the GCC region is a plus
Solid knowledge of local employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits
Excellent verbal and written command of English, good command of Arabic language is of advantage
Experience with the implementation of change programs in an internationally and culturally challenging environment
