The RoleThe RoleBased in: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Reporting to: Managing Director/CEO Managing: Legal Advisor Job Summary: Responsible for Directing the Compliance & AML Division’s all related policies and processes, including Compliance, AML and Legal functions to ensure that all activities related to these functions are inline with the Saudi regulatory parties. Primary Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Strategic • Develops Compliance & AML Division’s strategies, business plans and budgets in accordance with Companies overall strategic intent and direction. • Reviews Compliance & AML Division’s policies and processes inline with all regulation requirements to control all related activities within the Company Capital. Operational • Initiates the implementation of applicable laws and regulations falling under the Compliance and AML Division’s responsibilities. • Directs the daily quality assurance activities of Compliance and AML inline with improving the level of awareness for all the Companies Capital employees about the compliance rules and regulations. • Liaises with internal and external agencies (i.e. regulatory bodies and auditors) to enforce compliance with rules and regulations and to recommend good practices. • Advises the business on Compliance and AML regulatory developments and track changing compliance issues. • Ensures the awareness of potential future regulatory changes, either in respect of the framework of regulations, or new rules and regulations being issued, or indeed a change to enforcement practices. • Oversees account opening documentations on yearly basis to ensure that clients’ documents are up-to-date in full compliance with the Companies Capital policies and CMA rules and regulations. • Reviews advertising, disclosures, notices, compliance-related regulatory reports and forms to assure compliance with laws and regulations. • Ensures full compliance with the relevant rules and regulations in the scope of KYC, insider trading, client account opening procedures, client complaints, code of conduct, money laundering, incident and complaints reporting and all other relevant Saudi legislations. • Improves all employees’ level of awareness about money laundering and the Companies Capital policies and procedures in general and regularly performs AML and KYC checks and client due diligence. • Monitors activities of clients’ accounts to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering regulations. • Acts as the first point of contact for regulators, shareholders, and stakeholders in regards to Compliance and AML and Combating Terrorism issues. • Ensure the presence of audit and risk controls on all AML, and combating terrorism compliance requirements to improve processes and reduce risks; and submits formal reports to the Audit Committee on all AML audit findings and remedial action required. People Management • Provides guidance and leadership to all Compliance & AML members to ensure effective and efficient flow of work, and help them recognize their fundamental role in their functions. • Monitors the adherence of Compliance & AML employees to the Companies guidelines, policies and processes. • Conducts annual performance appraisal to review direct subordinate performance, carries out disciplinary meetings when needed and recommends salary adjustments and rewards based on their performance. |
RequirementsRequirementsCandidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors in Business Management, a Masters in Business Management would be advantageous. Extensive years of Compliance & AML executive-level experience in the financial and real estate investment sector. Be a strategic thinker and planner, loyalty and dedication, team worker, good at coaching and mentoring staff, relationship builder with a goal to achieving excellence.
