The Role

One of the worlds’ leading insurers with a broad range of business lines and services is looking for a confident, business minded and proactive compliance professional to set up and run a brand new business line from a compliance perspective.

The individual sought will be one of the most senior individuals in the office, with a dotted line to the Country Head and Regional Compliance Director, but will sit at the table impacting decisions across this particular business line in Dubai. You will be responsible for setting up the compliance environment, working with the DIFC, developing policies and processes, ensuring the smooth running of the operation and working on ad hoc eg legal and procedural tasks. The position is high profile within the group and has good progression opportunities around the region and the world.

To apply we are seeking an experienced compliance professional with all of the following:

• A background of at least 4 years strong compliance experience, likely to be 5 -10 years.
• Will have spent at least 2 years with a major insurance or asset management firm.
• Will have a strong knowledge of AML and KYC rules generated in the region, or knowledge of FSA rules.
• Will be business like, proactive, and will have strong leadership potential.
