The Role


The Role

We are seeking an audit professional to assist the Regional Compliance Officer with the monitoring and testing of compliance and regulatory obligations and for providing assistance with compliance with these obligations.

Based in Dubai and reporting to the Regional Compliance Officer, specific responsibilities will include:

• to plan, conduct and make the necessary remedial recommendations for compliance audits;
• to maintain the Compliance Manual of UAE;
• to monitor and notify changes / proposed changes to local regulatory requirements (Compliance/AML/CFT) and developments in the regulatory environment;
• to assist with the development of relevant training material;
• to assist local management with the development of systems and controls for the achievement of compliance with regulatory requirements (including Compliance/AML/CFT) (and other relevant local regulatory bodies) and AIG / Chartis corporate compliance policy.
• to assist the RCO with the preparation of the annual Compliance Monitoring Schedule
• to maintain the Remedial Actions Log

Requirements


Requirements

This position will suit a highly analytical and details-focused person from an audit background, with proven organisational abilities. Knowledge of the UAE regulatory frameworks will also be essential for success.

The successful candidate will come from a Big 4 audit background, will possess a professional qualification in compliance and AML and will ideally be an Arabic speaker.
