Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Essential Work Activities:

Overall responsibility for all aspects of corporate and business level Legal, compliance and related issues
• Overall responsibility for effecting overall corporate Legal, governance structure and on-going monitoring, review, and modification.
• Overall responsibility for the provision of appropriate Corporate / Enterprise Risk Management mechanisms and solutions.
• Ensure all procedures are documented, reviewed and updated regularly to ensure continued compliance with all regulatory requirements in Bahrain and any other territory where Solidarity is directly present.
• Manage and execute the duties and responsibilities of Legal Affairs to ensure legal well-being of the Company through compliance with regional and international practice. Deal and liaise with other departments on other legal matters such as:
a. Aviation liabilities and limits of insurance.
b. Conditions of carriage and their updating.
c. Indemnity provisions to which the Company's insurers have to be notified and to agree.
d. Personnel matters including drafting and amending staff regulations, conditions of employment and contracts.
e. Advices (sometimes with the assistance of outside lawyers on such specialized questions as e.g. taxation in the various countries to which the Company operates its services or has established offices).
• Determine and review the new laws applicable to the Company in the concerned jurisdiction including questions of taxation, antitrust and competition law in such places to ensure full compliance with local legal requirements.
Be responsible for the provision and maintenance of appropriate Anti Money Laundering controls and mechanisms that are in accordance with CBB regulations.
• Act as designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Report to and liaise with law enforcement agencies regarding suspected money laundering cases
• Preparation of annual statutory returns filed with Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).
• Be familiar with the statutory laws and recommend for appropriate actions to comply with any new/current clauses not already complied with

Requirements

PERSON SPECIFICATION
a. A University graduate with CPA/ACA/ACCA/CFA qualification or equivalent.
b. 2 t0 3 years relevant experience.
c. Strong computer skills, especially in the use of analytical tools such as spreadsheets and databases.
d. Strong interpersonal skills.
A good communicator with proven managerial ability
