Leading Retailer & Wholesaler

Qatar is booming and the retail sector is following suit. Our client, a leading retailer and wholesaler is currently experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an experienced Concept Manager to manage the selection, pricing and merchandising of the products based on the allocated concept.

Your responsibilities in this role will include:
- Assist the Retail Manager in the annual plan for the selection of brands and stores locations.
- Place seasonal buying budgets after receiving all recommendations and analysis from the team.
- Attend sales meetings for choosing new product line with the team.
- Product pricing in accordance to company margins and market position.
- Daily, monthly, quarterly and annual sales and stock analysis.
- Work with team to set initial launch plan, distribution and alternatives.
- Prepare and suggest end of season sale plans and discounts.
- Identify slow moving products and suggest measures.
- Place monthly store targets and supervise team to ensure all means of achieving these targets are available.
- Follow-up and coordinate with the Logistics department for product arrivals and distribution.
- Follow-up and coordinate with the Engineering department on new stores progress, maintenance jobs in current stores.
- Follow up with Marketing on brand campaigns, installation details and execution levels.
- Act as the main contact with brand HQs.
- Schedule frequent store visits to ensure all store operations are up to standard, staff are well trained in all aspects and merchandise is well displayed in accordance with brand guide lines.
- Ensure store staff are up to date on product training and customer service training.
- Liaising with HR on store staff deficiencies, interviewing potential store managers and interacting with Operations on potential store manager promotions.
- Suggesting and assessing potential store locations.
- Take part in the appraisal and personal/team development review annually.

Requirements

- Minimum Bachelors Degree in Management or equivalent qualification is required.
- 8+ years experience in a similar role.
- Comprehensive understanding of fashion/retail merchandising.
- Prior supervising/managing experience is required.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office.
